Question regarding autograph signings. If I just pay for the regular admission, will I still have an opportunity to get an autograph from the media guests? Or will I have to pay for a autograph ticket as well? Probably should already know the answer to this, but I wanted to be sure.

  Your admission to the show is just that, autographs are set by the guest, most all comic guests sign for free if you buy their book or already have it. Celebrity guests do charge for their pictures, autographs and such. Most of those prices are on this page as well. However all of their panels are free to all attendees, and other events are always free. plus loads of free swag around the show...all for the low price of $15 for a weekend pass.

3 more questions now that I'm attending:
1) Are we allowed to bring toy weapons as part of a costume. My friend has a costume that involves a holstered gun (toy gun, obviously); would this be allowed?
2) Are we allowed to bring backpacks or messanger bags into the convention for carrying around things?
3) What's parking like for the event? I've never attended Detroit Fanfare before nor have I been to Cobo Hall and would like to know what sort of parking situation we'll have when coming to the convention.

  yes on toy guns, yes on backpacks, and parking is available on the cobo roof, under cobo and several lots around cobo, unfortunately most are pay lots, we will have a parking map on the site soon
